Maisy's Puppies - born April 1, 2014

Our sweet labradoodle Maisy has had her first litter of babies. She had 3 babies - all boys!
We got her back from the breeder a few days after the delivery. Everyone was so happy to have her home and see the new puppies!

Maisy and first 3 puppies - April 4, 2014

Before Maisy left to go deliver her puppies, Emma was so sad to see her go - she wrote a sweet message for the breeder (Lanie) to read to her every day! :) such a sweet girl...

More puppy pics taken on April 10th.
Brody (named by Emma)
Pepper (named by mommy)
Rex (named by Sammy)

After a couple weeks upstairs, we found we needed to move the puppies to a bigger and more open space. The baby pool in the laundry room worked for a few more weeks. Maisy is such a good mommy.
It wasn't too much longer when they started to need their own food! Then it got interesting!
Then they had to have their own "area"! Geez, they were so Cute and Busy! One of the best parts was when they all started wagging their tails when they saw us! Pepper was the first one to escape and try to have run of the house!

Here's Brody (Emma's friend) holding Brody.

We loved 'em all but I really liked the black one the best. :) Can't wait til the next litter!

Oh my goodness - look what I found!

I found my old blog! I love it! I can't believe how much Emma & Sammy have grown since I posted here about 3 years ago! Wonder if I can post some current stuff and also some backdated stuff? Ok, just found out that I can't backdate really. But here's one of the cutest photos I think I have of Emma & Sammy... Taken at Target when they were sharing an Icee & pretzel after a little shopping last month (March 2014). They weren't even posing - just enjoying the sweet drink and I was there to capture the cuteness!

Celeste's Wedding Shower

Celeste came in town for her wedding shower around about in January. I was helping to host and Emma came along to help as well! We played a game where you have to break up into teams and make a wedding gown out of toilet paper and one of the girls on the team gets to be the model and compete against the others for the most fashionable wedding gown! Of course Emma volunteered to model.

Celeste and Emma in the winning wedding gown and bouquet.

Ok, not sure why I can't get this one to turn. Amateur blogging here.

Allie thought Emma was extremely entertaining! She was singing her a song about the color yellow that she learned in school. There are many color songs but the yellow one is so sunny and bright... I think Allie had to write it down. :-)

Excited about the prize!

We had a great time and can't (couldn't) wait for the wedding in March - In California and we get to go to Disney Land too!

Daisy Scout Emma

Emma was a Daisy Scout for her Kindergarten year. She loved it! She loved going around and selling the cookies, going to the meetings and doing the activities that she needed to do to get the daisy petals. Sammy liked being a part of the picture taking for the girl scout cookie sales too! He kept jumping in the photo and wouldn't let me get just one shot of Emma...if I wanted him to be in the picture though, he would be hiding under the table, behind the chair, etc. :-)

Finally!

For one of the meetings and to earn a petal, the girls had to make something useful out of trash.

The bear means that it is your turn to talk. Emma made a noise maker with an old vitamin bottle and a pencil cup holder from a can. She really wanted to give the pencil holder to her teacher at school, so it ended up being a gift!

Emma volunteered to bring the snack for one meeting and had so much fun making little bags of fruit and handing them out to the girls at the meeting!

Fall 2009 Highlights - Emma's party, Sammy's bear day, Halloween

Well, since I spent most of the fall working, it left no time for blogging. The good thing is that Simply Sassy Paper did super and we can celebrate a successful year!!

So for a few fall highlights...first of all, September we hosted a birthday party for Emma at the Pet shop and Mexican restaurant. She still loves dogs and cats and even though she had a dog party at 3 years old and a cat party at 5 years old, she wanted a dog and cat party!

This was Emma for fall picture day
The annual photo of the front page of the newspaper and all the favorite toys on her birthday. Of course Sammy is one of the most favorite playthings!
Party prep: they lined up all the party favors and played with them for a long time. All the puppies and kitties have their little treats. They actually didn't want to give any of them away!
At the pet shop party, we had a face painter who painted animal faces on all the kids who wanted it.

Emma loves all animals. The little ferret wanted to snuggle and lick her!

Leaving the pet shop to go down to Los Tios for cake!

Bring on the cake! We had adorable kitty and puppy cupcakes.

Blowing out the candles!

There was a bit of time after the cake and everyone wanted to Open the Presents! So Emma opened 'em up and held everything up high so everyone could see what she was getting!
Hanging around with Pop after the party.

we love snuggling with Annabelle!

Sammy had Teddy Bear day at school. They sang and taught their teddy bears to do the songs and motions too!

Sweet Sammy and his teddy bear.
Making Halloween goodies.
Yummy!
Daddy carved a kitty into the pumpkin. I think it's the first one we have ever done! Emma decided to be a cat and Sammy is a dog. Huh? Who would have guessed? Cats & Dogs?

Lots of fun Trick or Treating in the neighborhood.

After about 1/2 the neighborhood, their pumpkins were getting full. Sammy stopped going up to the doors on the last few houses because it was too heavy and he had enough!

I think he definitely did have enough!
Emma hauled in a ton too!

Great job on the kitty carving!
